Our Mission is to effectively market the Miramichi region as a tourist destination and to create revenues and business opportunities for members/partners.

The Miramichi River Tourism Association is a non-profit association made up of tourism operators, industry professionals, and tourism focused individuals from the Miramichi Region – from Boiestown to Escuminac and Tabusintac and everywhere in between. Or “from the headwaters to the farewell buoy” as we say.

Miramichi is know for the friendliness, salmon fishing river, and most importantly, our spirit. We invite you to embark on an adventure in Miramichi that is as much of an inner journey, as it is a travel experience.  Mingle with our locals, uncover our nooks and crannies, and live our customs and traditions. A Sample of our Initiatives:

Regional snowmobiler specials, – Participating members will have their business prominently featured on our website as well as a trail map, and will receive a limited quantity of one-day trail passes to distribute to guests.

Social Media Contests – We love crafting contests that develop fun, regional packages for our followers, often attracting 250,000+ unique viewers nation-wide.

Food Tourism Development Strategy – In 2018 we were excited to engage with Rebecca Mackenzie, a food tourism consultant with expertise in creating a “taste of place”.
